Basis for Consideration of Appeals
IPAS considers each appeal on its own merits based on the evidence submitted by the appellant and evidence available from the parking enforcement contractor including photographs and notes from the actual event.
IPAS may request either the contractor or the appellant to provide additional information or materials to help clarify issues arising in individual appeals. This may delay the issue of a decision.
Decisions, in writing and sent by ordinary post, are normally issued within three weeks of receipt by IPAS but the process may take up to six weeks.
Decisions will, in so far as practical, set out central issue(s) and also the basis for the decision in plain English.
Decisions are issued directly to both the appellant and the contractor.
IPAS will not enter into correspondence in relation to the decisions it issues.
